Open Praxis is a peer-reviewed open access scholarly journal focusing on research and innovation in open, distance, and flexible education. It is published by International Council for Open and Distance Education - ICDE
The aim of Open Praxis is to provide a platform for global collaboration and discussion of issues in the practice of open, online, and distance education.
Open Praxis welcomes contributions that demonstrate creative and innovative research, particularly emphasizing challenges, lessons, and achievements in the practice of open, online, and distance education worldwide, with a special focus on higher education and K–12.
The journal welcomes submissions related to the following research areas:
Open education
Lifelong learning
Open and distance learning
Distance education
Online learning
Educational technology
Articles may present research, surveys of recent work, original studies, or discussions on new technology and its broader implications.
To reflect its international scope, contributions are expected to be geographically and institutionally diverse and balanced.
An author may publish up to one paper per year/volume, or two in the case of collective papers.
Individual issues of Open Praxis may have an overarching theme, as described in the call for papers. Contributions are, however, also invited on other topics that fall within the sphere of interest of the journal.
