The mission of the scientific journal “Management of Organizations: Systematic Research” is to publish the latest theoretical and empirical research in management, thereby contributing to the development of contemporary management theory and practice.
“Management of Organizations: Systematic Research” is an international, peer-reviewed, open access scientific journal with a global reach. The journal welcomes submissions from scholars working in diverse national, regional and institutional contexts and encourages research that contributes to international academic debate in management and organisation studies. Its international orientation is reflected in the journal’s authorship, readership, reviewers and Editorial Board.
The journal was founded by Vytautas Magnus University and has been in regular circulation since 1995. The journal is embedded in the spirit of Vytautas Magnus University as a comprehensive university of liberal arts. Therefore, it encourages interdisciplinary connections in management research, including links with other social sciences and the humanities.
“Management of Organizations: Systematic Research” invites submissions based on a broad range of empirical methods, covering quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method, comparative, case-based and conceptual approaches. The journal encourages innovative integration of diverse research methods leading to novel contributions to management thought and practice.
The submitted papers may address research questions inspired by both recent theoretical developments and advanced practices of modern organisations, ranging from business organisations to public-sector and non-profit organisations.
The journal covers a wide range of subjects, including but not limited to: methodology of management research; analysis of organisational concepts; interaction between organisations and their microeconomic, social, technological and institutional environments; theory and practice of entrepreneurship; organisational design; human resource management; methodology of administration; marketing management; strategic management; financial management; production management; tendencies of management development; theories of international business and its organisation; and business globalisation.
The list of topics is non-exhaustive. The journal welcomes high-quality scholarly contributions that fit its broader focus on management, organisations and systematic research into organisational processes, practices and development.
