Linguistic variation in the Pasticciaccio by Carlo Emilio Gadda: translation strategies in the two French versions

Abstract
From the point of view of linguistic variation, this contribution compares the two translations of Quer pasticciaccio brutto de via Merulana by Carlo Emilio Gadda, made by Louis Bonalumi and Jean-Paul Manganaro. The comparison aims to highlight the differences between the two translations, dated 1963 and 2016, respectively, both published by Éditions du Seuil, in order to explore which version of the novel the French reader can access.
