Abstract
This article first looks at the traditional model of management consulting, its features and strengths, and the way it has contributed to the enduring success of the industry. It recognizes the more complex and dynamic environment of the profession and the technological challenges to that traditional model and then looks at the partnership and corporate business models. Finally, it proposes a new hybrid model of management consulting that blends the two business models and integrates new capabilities to deal with major challenges to larger consultancies brought about by the implementation of AI.
