Abstract

Introduction

This thesis aims to present the conduct and results of the physiotherapy treatment of a girl with Dias-Logan syndrome.

Material and methods

The description of the development of a girl with Dias-Logan syndrome, who from the age of 7 to 23 months was a subject of physiotherapeutic treatment using NDT -Bobath, Vojta’s, and sensory integration methods. This treatment was evaluated using a global assessment of motor performance patterns.

Results

Physiotherapeutic treatment positively impacted the patient’s condition with developmental deficits, the source of which was Dias-Logan syndrome. The child achieved basic milestones in motor development with delay.

Conclusions

Undertaking early rehabilitation is crucial in supporting children with rare genetic disorders like Dias-Logan syndrome. They need to be provided with long-term, multidisciplinary care to effectively and holistically support their development.
