Aims and Scope
- Core Mission: Measurement Science Review is an "Open Access", peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute of Measurement Sciencesof SAS since 2001. The primary aim of the Measurement Science Review (MSR) is to publish original papers from scientific disciplines covering Measurement Science, with a specific orientation toward
- the theory of measurement,
- the measurement of physical quantities, and
- measurement in biomedicine.
- The Importance of Measurement: Measurement Science is widely regarded as the "science of sciences"—there is no science without measurement. Every measuring process assumes an object of measurement, as no phenomenon is truly real unless it is observable in space and time and, consequently, subject to measurement. The science of measurement provides an indispensable foundation for all scientific fields, including physics, cosmology, geology, environmental science, quantum mechanics, statistics, and metrology.
- International Reach: MSR is recognized as a significant international journal. It attracts authors from both European and non-European countries, consistently capturing the latest global trends in Measurement Science. The growing prestige of the journal is also reflected in its expanding International Editorial Board, which includes more than 40 leading scientists from across the globe.
- Indexing and Visibility: To ensure maximum visibility and impact, the journal is indexed in over 40 major international databases, including Current Contents®/Engineering Computing and Technology, the Web of Science Core Collection (Master Journal List), Scopus, Index Copernicus International, and the Electronic Journals Library.
- Why Read: The journal provides a dynamic platform for information exchange among scientists, engineers, and industry professionals, actively encouraging effective and coordinated research cooperation.
- Why Submit: Authors benefit from a rigorous, high-quality peer-review process conducted by independent experts. As an Open Access online journal, MSR ensures rapid publication shortly after the receipt of positive reviewer reports. Furthermore, the online edition serves as the official journal of the Institute of Measurement Science (SAS) and the International Conference MEASUREMENT.
