By: Oana Sălişteanu

Abstract
The paper suggests some Romanian solutions in translating the 15th-century realia belonging to the flourishing world of navigation, sea trade, Florentine and Venetian banking and manufacturing and so many other specific terminologies that the Neapolitan Professor Carlo Vecce offers us while reconstructing the biography of Caterina, the mysterious woman who gave birth to the genius of the Renaissance.
