Abstract
A method for routine determination of the pH in tobacco smoke is described which is to be preferred to the measurement by indicator paper as it is more exact and reproducible, and furthermore, it can be used at the same time for determining the buffering capacity of the smoke. The dependence of the results on various influences is discussed
