Assessment of the Activity of Selected Probiotics in in Vitro the Inflammatory Process
Abstract
Probiotic therapy is consistently gaining popularity in the treatment of many diseases. Due to worldwide research carried out using the latest analytical technologies, interest in probiotics is on the rise. However, the phenomenon of antibiotic resistance is disturbing, as it leads to numerous clinical problems. Therefore, the aim of the work was to present current knowledge about probiotics, their functions, and their impact on the human body. Additionally, an experiment was carried out with selected commercially available probiotic preparations in a simulated in vitro inflammatory process. The obtained results show that the greater the diversity of probiotic strains and the number of colonies, the better the therapeutic effect.
