Abstract

In this study, the geotourism potential of the Wolin municipality on the southern Baltic coast was analysed, combining expert assessment with the perspectives of the local community. Existing and potential geosites were identified through field inventory, literature review, cartographic analyses, pilot survey, and interviews with local stakeholders. The selected geosites were evaluated by experts against criteria relating to scientific value, added value, and use characteristics. As a result, ten key geosites of particular importance for developing a local geotourism trail and promoting geotourism development were identified. It was concluded that integrating expert knowledge with local community perspectives can support sustainable geotourism and regional development.
