Conferences
The Cartographic Division of the Polish Geographical Society (publisher of the Polish Cartographical Review) is the initiator and co-organiser of the Polish National Cartographic Conferences (Ogólnopolska Konferencja Kartograficzna). Thanks to the cooperation of individual academic centres and the Carographic Division, over 40 conferences have been held since 1968. 48th Polish National Cartographic Conference In 2026, the Polish National Cartographic Conference will take place in Wrocław (November 26–27). The event is co-organised by the Department of Geoinformatics and Cartography of the University of Wrocław and the Cartographic Division (Polish Geographical Society). Using the main theme of the conference: Geoinformatics, Geovisualization, Geoinformation, the organisers want to point out the fields of knowledge that draw on the achievements of cartography and together with which cartography creates the science of geospatial information (GIScience).
