The peer-review process is fundamental to maintaining the quality and integrity of scholarly publications. The reviewer’s role is to be both critical and constructive, helping Authors improve their work while ensuring that only high-quality contributions proceed to publication.

Reviewers engaged in the evaluation of manuscripts submitted for publication in the International Journal of Management and Economics are kindly requested to consider the following aspects.

Manuscript quality

The evaluation should address each of the following features of the paper:

• The title should accurately reflect the content and purpose of the paper.
• The abstract should contain relevant information on the objective, methodology, key findings, implications, recommendations, as well as the paper’s originality and value. It should be concise yet informative (up to 200 words).
• The introduction should clearly state the aim of the study and provide a justification for the research.
• The literature review should be appropriately broad and relevant.
• The methodology should be clearly presented.
• The paper should reach clear conclusions with respect to its stated aim.
• The sources should be relevant and appropriate.
• The paper should be logically structured and well organized.
• The paper should make appropriate use of visuals (tables and figures such as graphs, charts, and diagrams).
• The citation and referencing format should comply with IJME requirements.
• The paper should be free from spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other errors.

Scholarly contribution

Manuscripts should also be reviewed in the context of their overall contribution to international scholarly debate:

• The paper should align with the aims and scope of IJME.
• The paper should be relevant to an international audience.
• The paper should be original and offer a meaningful contribution to scholarly debate on management, economics and finance in a transforming global economy.
