Publication history

The journal was established in 1955 within the Slovak Academy of Sciences under the title Lesnícky časopis (a Slovak term meaning Forestry Journal). In the 1960s, it began to be published by the Research Institute of Forestry Management in Zvolen, Czechoslovakia. In 1991, the journal was renamed Lesnícky časopis – Forestry Journal. Since 2014, it has been published by the National Forest Centre in Zvolen in cooperation with the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. In 2017, it was renamed Central European Forestry Journal.
