Acta academica karviniensia is a journal published by the School of Business Administration in Karviná, part of the Silesian University in Opava. It was established in 1998.
In its early years, the journal appeared under a slightly different title Acta academica karviniensis and was published somewhat irregularly. Over time, it developed into a peer-reviewed scientific journal, with a formal review process (typically involving at least two reviewers) introduced around 2008. The publication frequency has evolved as well. Initially irregular, the journal later published 2–4 issues per year, became a quarterly, and since around 2020 has been issued twice a year.
Originally focused mainly on Czech and Slovak contributions, the journal has gradually become more international, with an increasing number of articles published in English.
