Professor of Modern languages and Language education at Stockholm University, where she has previously served as professor of Italian. Her main research interests are multilingualism, second and third language teaching and learning, cross-linguistic influence, and language policy. She has published articles, books and book chapters in the field of language education, advanced second language development, and third language learning, and she currently coordinates the graduate school Learning, teaching and assessment of Swedish and English. PhD from the Centre for Research on Bilingualism, Stockholm University in 2009, and she holds a position as full Professor in Swedish as a second language at the Department of Teaching and Learning, Stockholm University, Sweden. Her research encompasses multilingualism in an educational perspective, as well as in ideological and critical policy perspectives. PhD, is a senior lecturer at the Department of Teaching and Learning at Stockholm University. Her main research interests are Swedish as a first language and literature in education but also include literature, reading and writing in Swedish as a second language. PhD in Phonetics and Associate Professor in Swedish as a Second Language at Linköping University, Sweden. Her main research interests are the teaching of pronunciation in Swedish as a second language, multilingual young and adult students writing and literacy development as well as mother tongue teachers’ education in Sweden. Zetterholm has published her research in journals, book chapters and textbooks in Swedish and English.
