Abstract
As hiring shortages increase and those in the profession face higher stress and job burnout, teacher well-being has gained added interest. While addressing teachers’ mental health is fundamental, supervisors face their own challenges with stress and emotional regulation. Heart coherence, a scientifically validated physiological state, could assist supervisors, and thus, those in their care, with stress reduction and emotional regulation. Furthermore, a growing body of evidence suggests that individuals affect each other at a deep electromagnetic level, and those in coherence states have an even stronger influence. Therefore, heart coherence practices could have significant implications for the field of supervision, where principals, university supervisors, and mentor teachers work closely with supervisees.
