Abstract

This study explored the effects of organizational ambidexterity, supply chain integration, and supply chain resilience on supply chain performance using the Resource-based View (RBV) and Organizational Ambidexterity Theory (OAT). The cross-sectional, quantitative study employed a structured questionnaire for data collection from a systematic random sample of 137 manufacturing organizations registered with the Board of Investment (BOI) in Sri Lanka. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS 20.0 and Structural Equation Modeling with Smart PLS. Findings indicate a significant positive impact of supply chain integration, resilience, and organizational ambidexterity on supply chain performance. Organizational ambidexterity notably influences supply chain integration and resilience. Additionally, supply chain integration significantly enhances resilience. The study also identified the mediation role of supply chain resilience between integration and performance, and both resilience and integration as partial mediators between ambidexterity and performance. Thus, this study makes a major theoretical contribution to the RBV by highlighting the importance of supply chain resilience and organizational ambidexterity for enhanced supply chain performance through an integrated supply chain. It highlights how Sri Lankan manufacturing companies seek innovative ways to meet customer demands and adapt to a dynamic business environment through integration, resilience, and ambidexterity.
