KI-Nutzung in Europa und den USA: Unterschiede und Implikationen für Produktivitätswachstum
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to drive future productivity growth, yet its economic impact depends on adoption rates across labour markets. This study investigates the “AI gap” between the US and Europe using our own worker survey in seven countries and a firm survey across 32 countries. Our findings reveal significant international disparities in AI usage, which are largely explained by differences in management practices. Increased AI adoption correlates with stronger productivity growth, while no significant effects on employment have been observed. These results highlight the importance of organisational factors in bridging the technological divide and harnessing AI’s economic potential.
