The article reviews English monograph of Canadian professor of psychology John Edwards Language and Identity. Key Topics in Sociolinguistics, in which the author concentrates on the language, identity and consequences of interferences between them. The book gives a very good survey in problems and terminology of sociolinguistic study in this field.
