Abstract
The paper illustrates the Romanian solutions in translating Italian baroque poetry represented by Giambattista Marino and his XVII century followers: redundancy, enumeration, mythological allusions, extravagant concettos, syntactic puzzles and the restrictions imposed by the hendecasyllable.
