Future Expressions for Learners of Basic English: An Analysis of English Textbooks for the 3Rd – 6Th Grades Used in Romania

Abstract

The paper analyses the presence of future expressions (‘be going to’, ‘will’, ‘shall’, the Present tense progressive and Present tense simple with future uses) in the English textbooks for levels A1 and A2 recommended by the Romanian Ministry of Education for use in the primary and lower secondary classes in Romania.
