Abstract

Welcome to this new issue of the Management Consulting Journal. As we enter our ninth year of publication we are delighted to welcome new people to our Editorial Board, which will help us maintain the highest peer review capabilities are we work with an increasing number of submissions. We have also formed an Advisory Board to help guide the continued development of the Journal as we expand our international reach.

This issue offers a range of new insights into management consulting across a variety of topics. It covers internal consulting, scaling consulting enterprises, the consulting business model, and higher education. There are also papers on HR consulting and assessing the value of consultant’s advice.

In addition to providing a platform to recognised thought leaders and accomplished researchers, we are looking for further develop the links between the Journal and post graduate research and writing about management consulting, as part of university programmes. This will build on work we’ve already published from students at Durham University Business School in the UK, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in the Netherlands, and Audencia Business School in France. If any university Professors would like to explore this option, please get in touch.

For all authors, updated guidelines for our full papers and shorter articles are now available on the Journal’s website managementconsultingjournal.com.

Finally, we acknowledge the support of the UK’s Chartered Management Institute and Institute of Consulting in helping establish the Journal. This is the last issue to benefit from this direct support. We also acknowledge the support of our academic publisher, Paradigm and our main commercial sponsor FMR Research Ltd as we enter this new year.
