Abstract

The resilience of military transportation networks is critical to ensuring the effective deployment and sustainment of military forces, considering that the increasing reliance on digital technologies has made these networks highly vulnerable to cyber threats. This paper explores the evolving cybersecurity threat landscape affecting military mobility, identifying key attack vectors across sea, air, rail, road, and inland waterways. It examines how legacy systems, interoperability issues, and resource constraints hinder effective cyber defence. Through a comprehensive analysis of past cyber incidents and current vulnerabilities, the study proposes a multi-layered framework for cyber resilience that integrates technological innovation, robust governance, and enhanced civil-military collaboration. The findings underscore that cyber resilience in military transport is not merely a technical challenge, but a strategic priority requiring sustained investment and international cooperation.
