Abstract
Objective
This study aims to outline the background of advanced nursing practice (ANP), potential issues, and the prospects for its establishment in the Moroccan health care system.
Methods
A review was performed with databases that included articles published between 2016 and 2023.
Results
The study found 14 articles agreeing that ANP is a solution to the shortage of medical and nursing staff. Moreover, its establishment in the Moroccan health care system is subject to many challenges, which require an in-depth study.
Conclusions
The training of advanced practice nurse (APN) is needed to meet the requirements of the national health care system. It can be incorporated if the context is examined, considering all the challenges that may arise when implementing this program.
