A New Method for the Collection of the Particle Phase of Tobacco in Liquids / Über eine neue Methode zur Niederschlagung von Tabakrauch in Flüssigkeiten

Abstract
A new apparatus is described for collecting the particle phase of tobacco smoke in liquids in the most careful way. The method was developed in order to avoid secondary reactions and is infinitely variable. The described apparatus is simple, and consists nearly entirely of glass so that cleaning is simplified. Even without cooling the particle phase can be trapped quantitatively in acetone at a permanent flow rate of 17.5 ml/sec.
