Abstract

Obesity is recognized as one of the major risk factors for the development of malignant tumors. This article presents evidence that excessive body weight increases the risk of various types of cancer. The mechanisms through which obesity influences carcinogenesis, such as hormonal dysregulation, inflammation, and metabolic changes, are identified. Potential health interventions that could help reduce cancer risk in individuals with obesity are also considered.
