Abstract
Sexually transmitted diseases are a significant public health problem in many countries around the world due to their high incidence, especially among young people. The study addressed the problem of assessing knowledge and awareness, experiences and behaviors, as well as opinions and attitudes of young adults about sexually transmitted diseases due to the fact that this is an important and still topical topic. The study results show that the level of knowledge of young adults about diseases transmitted through sexual contact is unsatisfactory and may constitute a risk factor for some diseases with close and sometimes further health consequences.
