Dogs in Health Care — A Review of Scientific Research Cover

Abstract

Dog therapy supports the prevention and treatment of numerous diseases. Dogs’ olfactory abilities are used to detect odors related to cancer, diabetes, and COVID-19. Dog-assisted therapy contributes to patients’ mental and physical health. The article presents the current state of knowledge regarding the use of dogs in the prevention and treatment of lifestyle diseases.
