Pig locomotion scoring system to assess lameness (Paula et al., 2024).

SCORESDESCRIPTION
0No signs of lameness. The animal moves easily, showing full comfort of movement.
1Initial signs of lameness in one leg can be seen. The animal is reluctant to bear weight but continues to move without much difficulty.
2Lameness involves one or more legs. The animal exhibits compensatory behavior such as dipping of the head or arching of the back.
3The animal shows considerable reluctance to walk or bear weight on its limbs. Moving the animal around the farm is difficult.
