Elements of our theory of engineering judgment. We define engineering judgment as a holistic participatory capacity integrating the technical and social context, the cultural and discursive production of professional identities, and naturalistic decision-making processes. Decision-making models and related cognitive processes are explored in Section 3 while discursive identity and cultural production are explored in Section 4.
