Aims and scope

Anglo Saxonica is an international, peer-reviewed journal hosted at the University of Lisbon Centre for English Studies. It publishes original work on the literatures, the cultures, linguistic and artistic forms of the English-speaking world. The journal welcomes theoretical and empirical research articles, review essays, interviews and selections of creative writing that adopt interdisciplinary perspectives, innovative approaches and engage with emerging critical methodologies.

Anglo Saxonica encourages contributions that challenge established boundaries, revisit tradition and experience, and open new avenues of inquiry across literature, culture, linguistics, translation, film, visual arts, digital media, and pedagogy. In doing so the journal fosters the advancement of research and promotes renewed critical energy within the broad field of English studies.
