Publication history
The Romanian Journal of Cardiology (RJC), established in 1991 by the Romanian Society of Cardiology, has been published quarterly without interruption since its founding. Initially, it was called Revista Romana de Cardiologie and its articles were published in Romanian.
The Editorial Committee announced in the inaugural issue that the journal's goal is to bring together basic and clinical research with real-world practice, serving as a forum for cardiology professionals and researchers to share knowledge.
Beginning in 2012, the Journal adopted its official name, transitioned to publishing in English, expanded its reach by establishing a global Editorial Board, welcomed submissions from abroad, and introduced its online edition.
