Instructions for reviewers

As a reviewer you are asked to provide an objective, constructive and timely assessment of the manuscript and to support their recommendation with clear comments for the editors and authors. Reviewers should treat all manuscripts and related materials as confidential and should declare any potential conflict of interest before accepting a review assignment.

Reviewers’ expertise provides valuable insights into the quality and significance of each submission. The primary objective of the review is to answer the questions below with clear and unambiguous statements, as well as providing recommendations for potential changes and improvements to the paper.

Content:

• does the subject of the paper correspond with the aims and scope of the journal,
• does the title match the subject of the paper,
• is the Abstract appropriate, i.e. short but presenting the main results of the research and conclusions based on these results,
• does the Introduction present the subject, the objective of the research and the research gap,
• are the implemented methods used properly and is the research material sufficient,
• are the results described, analysed, commented on and presented correctly,
• is the discussion appropriately presented, based on actual knowledge and properly chosen scientific literature (as recent as possible),
• do the conclusions generalise the obtained results and provide recommendations that are appropriately derived from the results and do not merely repeat them,
• does the paper introduce new and interesting information, does it have sufficient impact and provide a valuable contribution to the literature,
• is there any evidence of unacknowledged use of AI tools?

Format:

• whether the layout and content of tables and figures are readable and convenient for readers,
• is the information in the tables not repeated in the figures and vice versa,
• are there any reservations about the length of the paper, its linguistic accuracy, the method of citing literature, the use of units, notation of decimal points, etc.?
