Aims and scope
Mineralogia (ISSN: 1899-8291, e-ISSN: 1899-8526) is an international, peer-reviewed, English-language, free open-access journal that publishes original research and review papers covering the broad fields of geochemistry, mineralogy, petrology, technical, experimental, and applied mineralogy, and environmental sciences. The journal aims to advance and disseminate high-quality research in the mineralogical sciences, facilitate communication across related disciplines, and promote the international exchange of scientific knowledge. Its target readership includes researchers, academic teachers, students, and professionals working in mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, environmental sciences, applied mineralogy, and related areas of the geosciences.
Mineralogia, formerly published as Mineralogia Polonica, has a publishing tradition extending over 50 years. The journal’s subtitle, Geochemical, Mineralogical and Petrological Research, reflects its broad and inclusive scientific scope. The regular series Mineralogia is accompanied by the irregular series, including Mineralogia - Special Papers (containing conference abstracts) and Thematic Collections devoted to selected research topics.
• Publications in the scope of widely understood mineralogical sciences (mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, environmental sciences, applied mineralogy, etc.)
• Original research and review papers, letters (a short research paper), short notes (a brief communication), book reviews, and letters to editors with comments on papers published in Mineralogia
The journal facilitates communication and promotes scientific research in the scope of:
• descriptive mineralogy,
• experimental mineralogy,
• igneous petrology,
• metamorphic petrology,
• sedimentary petrology,
• hard rock geochemistry,
• geochronology and petrochronology,
• environmental mineralogy and geochemistry.
