Aims and scope
The Journal of Nematology is the official publication of the Society of Nematologists (SON). Since its founding in 1969, the journal has served as an international forum for the publication of high-quality research and scientific communication in all areas of nematology. The journal publishes original research papers covering all aspects of basic, applied, descriptive, theoretical, and experimental nematology, and maintains a rigorous peer-review process. All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process and must make a significant contribution to the field. Manuscripts describing new or previously known nematode species, as well as survey studies, are considered if they have clear ecological or economic significance or involve nematodes of regulatory importance. In addition to original research articles, the journal publishes invited reviews, research notes, abstracts from annual meetings, and special publications as appropriate. Authors are encouraged to consult the Editor-in-Chief (EiC) about submissions of special publications. For genome announcements, see special instructions found at the end of this document.
