Submission of a manuscript to the journal signifies that generative tools have not been used to create the text, the work has not been previously published, and it has not been submitted or accepted for publication elsewhere. Author(s) should send to the e-mail address cit.bas.bg@gmail.com a Microsoft Word file with the manuscript, allowing prepress processing.

All manuscripts are checked for plagiarism and self-plagiarism to ensure that the content published is original and trustworthy, as well as for the amount of AI-generated text.

For the style of the overall layout, please use the following template: "Cybernetics and Information Technologies".

Style for Manuscript

Submitted manuscripts must be typewritten in English and should be in Microsoft Word format. The length of manuscripts is limited to: 20 pages for scientific papers and 32 pages for surveys.

First page must contain:

Title of paper,
Full Names, affiliation and mailing address (including e-mail, if available) of each author,
Abstract (not exceeding 150 words),
Keywords (not exceeding five),
Footnotes (optional) containing acknowledgement of financial or other support.

Manuscripts should include: an introductory part with representation and analysis of the problems under consideration, an exposition of the investigation and comments on the results obtained, an evaluation of the contribution indicating advantages, limitations and possible directions for future research. It is desirable to focus explicitly on the results the author finds more important and to discuss them in the context of current research rather than just present the authors’ work with much statistical data as the main part of the text.

The Abstract should be clear, concise and informative. Desirable topics: aim of the research, methodology/approach, main results, originality/value. References should be numbered and listed at the end of the manuscript. The reference number in square brackets is used to cite a reference, e.g. [5]. For the style of references and citation, see examples in the published papers.

Accessibility Requirements

To ensure that published articles comply with accessibility standards (PDF/UA and the European Accessibility Act), authors are requested to follow the requirements below.

Alternative Text (Alt Text) for Figures

Provide concise alternative text for every figure, chart, diagram, photograph, or illustration. Alt Text should briefly describe the essential information conveyed by the image, not merely its appearance.

Good example: Figure 2. ROC curves comparing the performance of the four classification models. Model A achieved the highest area under the curve.

Poor example: Figure showing ROC curves.

Decorative images that do not convey scientific information do not require Alt Text.

Tables

Create tables using Microsoft Word's Insert Table function. Do not submit tables as images. The first row of every table must contain the column headings. Avoid unnecessarily complex tables with merged or split cells whenever possible.

Document Language

Before submitting your manuscript, ensure that the document language is set to English.

Document Metadata

Before submitting the manuscript, complete the document properties in Microsoft Word. Required metadata includes:

Title – article title

Author – author(s)

Subject – research area or article type

Keywords (Tags) – article keywords (optional but recommended)

In Microsoft Word: File → Info → Properties → Advanced Properties → Summary

Special thematic issues

The additional thematic issues aim to present extended versions of selected papers presented at international scientific events. The event organizers should send to CIT Editor-in-Chief a proposal for publishing a thematic special issue that contains the proposed title of the issue, the event description (link), names and detailed CVs of proposed guest editors and expected numbers of papers in the issue. The special issues must contain 10-15 papers with a paper length of 16-20 pages. The selected papers should be written by authors from different countries and no more than two papers with the same author(s) are allowed to be included into the special issue. The cost for publishing a special thematic issue is: 540 EURO per paper (including a preface). The price should be covered by the event organizers.

The guest editors are responsible for reviewing and selecting high-quality papers to be published in the thematic issue and for writing a preface for the issue. The selected papers must not exceed 30% coincidence with publicly available sources. All reviews (at least two per paper) should be sent to the CIT Editor-in-Chief for approval.

The special issue will be published within 2 months of receiving the final texts in the required journal format and the Licenses to publish from the authors.
