Abstract
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in education has significantly influenced the experiences of both students and university faculty. This study examines usage patterns of AI tools among students and professors, comparing current data with last year’s student survey. It explores which tools are most commonly used, why they are preferred, and their perceived usefulness in online learning. The research highlights benefits such as improved efficiency, learning outcomes, and personalized support, as well as concerns like over-reliance and ethical issues. It also assesses student proficiency with AI tools and identifies areas for improvement. In parallel, faculty perspectives are analyzed, including concerns about academic integrity, teaching limitations, and the need to adapt instructional practices. By comparing both groups’ experiences, the study offers insights into AI’s evolving role in higher education and informs strategies for its ethical and effective integration.
