Abstract
Many complex foot and ankle injuries involve the bony structures, tendons, and ligaments. These can be acute or due to chronic repetitive trauma.
In this abstract, we succinctly focus on the lateral ligaments. Further, we discuss in detail pathology and pitfalls at the lateral midfoot in the region of the peroneus longus tendon.
Finally, we briefly address the anatomy of the hallux and turf-toe.
