Abstract

This paper explores the connection between personality traits and the organization commitment of 275 employees in the hospitality industry. The study is rooted in the statistical analysis of information gathered from 275 professionals in Sri Lanka. The findings indicate that agreeableness and conscientiousness personality traits exhibit correlations with various aspects of organizational commitment. Specifically, they are positively associated with affective commitment and normative commitment while negatively linked to continuance commitment. These results are expected to have a lasting impact on both the human resources management strategies within the hospitality industry and the future research endeavors of academics in this field.
