Abstract
The article describes a case study – a non-statutory participatory process carried out in Kielce in 2020, the purpose of which was to educate and gather information from residents on the development of an amendment to the Kielce City Study. The article discusses the assumptions adopted for the consultations, and the participatory techniques used, in the context of the level of participation required by the current legislation as well as the factors influencing the success of individual activities.
