Abstract
Aim
The aim of this study is to identify opportunities for cooperation between the Polish and Ukrainian economies, with particular emphasis on agriculture and the processing of agricultural products. This cooperation would bring mutual benefits both during the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war and potentially in the early post-war period.
Material and Methods
The analysis is based on literature studies and economic, environmental, and climate considerations that are relevant to European Union policy.
Results
The results of the study indicate that there is real potential for cooperation in at least four areas.
Conclusions
These include: supporting Ukrainian agriculture by involving Polish investors in sustaining agricultural production on Ukrainian farms and agricultural enterprises and developing local processing of agricultural raw materials; the production of biofuels and high-quality concentrated feed in Poland using agricultural raw materials imported from Ukraine; the development of organic agricultural production guaranteeing high food quality.
