Abstract

In times of multiple crises, the framework for evidence-based policy advice is increasingly shaped by societal and institutional dynamics of trust. At the same time, transformations in public discourse present an additional challenge. The relationships between politics, science, and the economy strongly influence the effectiveness of policy advice. Maintaining dialogue and safeguarding academic freedom are crucial for fostering trust-based interaction between political decision-makers and academic experts, thereby enabling the effective use of synergies.
