Der Job-Turbo für Geflüchtete aus Sicht von Vermittlungsfachkräften: eine kritische Bilanz
Abstract
The Job-Turbo initiative aims to help refugees find employment quickly and sustainably. This goal appears ambitious given the numerous structural challenges involved. This article examines how placement officers in German job centres assess the Job-Turbo and its operational guidelines, as well as the framework conditions for placing refugees in jobs. Based on new survey data, we show that the majority of placement officers reject the Job-Turbo, considering its objectives for the entire target group to be difficult to achieve and the guidelines on the frequency of counselling sessions to be constraining. Placement officers in specialized refugee teams view the reform slightly more positively. The findings can raise awareness of problems at the frontline of employment services and are relevant to the sustainability of the reform.
