Herausforderung Verkehrsinfrastruktur

The transport infrastructure in Germany is clearly in need of improvement in many areas. In addition to the omnipresent criticism of the German railways, the focus is also on the infrastructure of motorways and roads. Unfortunately, due to the budget situation, prioritisation cannot be avoided. The Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport is currently trying to speed up planning, approval and implementation in the expansion of major transport routes. The challenge of making transport infrastructure fit for the future in light of the energy and transport transition is not just a short-term task for one budget year or one legislative period especially, for example, when thinking about the transition towards more e-mobility and autonomous driving.
