Orientation and Mobility Services for Students with Deafblindness: A Systematic Review

Abstract

This study is a systematic review focusing on orientation and mobility services for individuals with DeafBlindness. It answers questions regarding the teaching strategies used with this population. Thirty articles provided thematic evidence under: instructional strategies, communication, assistance, assistive technology, and rehabilitation. 21 articles addressed one theme each while 9 addressed multiple themes each. This review identifies important guidelines for serving individuals with Deafblindness.
