Abstract
Rural development is a key challenge in the European Union given the economic and social disparities between urban and rural areas. Rural communities are facing depopulation, an ageing population and limited access to essential services, which calls for sustainable financing solutions. This article analyzes the context of rural development in Europe, highlighting the economic, social and technological transformations of rural areas and their impact on communities. Policies and regulations supporting rural development are also addressed, emphasizing the need for solutions tailored to local needs. The conclusions highlight the importance of an integrated strategy for the sustainable revitalization of rural areas.
