The article reviews Slovak - English monograph of Professor Vladimír Patráš Sociolinguistic Aspects of electronically determined Communication, which is a selection of his formerly published works, especially those dealing with pragmatic and communicative approach in linguistics, theory of discourse natural language usage, language dynamics and sociolinguistics. The book, by its content and author's approach, belongs to current titles of modern general and applied linguistics.
