Abstract
Copyright and related rights, regulated by Law no. 7/1996, constitutes a research topic for specialists in the field of journalism, as well as for those in the legal field, both for theorists and for practitioners. This article presents the issue of the incidence of copyright in the case of journalistic creations. The focus falls on the border between press materials that benefit from the rights conferred by Law 8/1996 and exceptional situations from protection, with examples from the practice of national courts.
