Geotechnical Monitoring - Reducing the Risks Related to the Construction of Infrastructure
Abstract
The presence of deep excavations or complex structures in urban areas can have an important impact on all involved factors: beneficiary, contractor, designer, consultant, and neighborhood. For an efficient management of the risk factors associated with each project, the monitoring of the parameters associated with each risk mechanism is carried out. Monitoring involves analyzing and identifying risk factors, choosing the ones that should be monitored and those who need to be discarded through technical solutions.
