Abstract
The paper presents the comparison of corrosion behaviour of different types of weathering steels including weathering steel with higher content of nickel exposed on the atmospheric tests in Czech atmospheric test sites and in accelerated laboratory tests. The corrosion losses after 1, 2 and 4 years of atmospheric exposure are given together with results from modified accelerated tests with the effect of SO2 and chloride. The analysis of corrosion product layers were performed too. The protective ability index (PAI) of patina layers was calculated from analysis results.
